Our commitment is to a sustainable model and covers all aspects of our business including products, electricity supply and packaging to our recycling.
-

-
All service providers, i.e. electricity , phones – are chosen on the basis of their commitment to sustainability – annual review
-
Energy consumption – only low energy LED lighting and electric heating is used in our shop – target maintain low level of energy consumption - Electricity provided by renewable energy supplier - annual review
While the products we sell may not look immediately green each one has a story. They are chosen primarily with sustainability in mind. During the buying process we always consider the following aspects -
-
recycled materials – creating a market for all the waste we are producing and recycling
-
materials which are renewable – bamboo, wood, etc.
-
products which promote a green lifestyle- making the green choice easier
-
good design and quality manufacture – being green does not mean lack of taste or style. With more and more designers factoring a green ethos into their goods it's never been easier to look good while staying green.
-
Sourcing locally where possible and appropriate – UK produced goods make sense but are not always available. We source from around the world if the product is worthwhile. We adhere to fair trade principles
